Three thieves tried to get into a local meat pie proprietor’s satellite office on Commerce Street on May 30, but ended up eating some humble pie instead.

Workers at DUB Pies, which is headquartered in Windsor Terrace, said the thieves, two men and a women, were videotaped trying to force the door to the building between Van Brunt and Richards streets at 3:10 pm — and leaving empty-handed a few minutes later when they couldn’t get the door open.
