A bookkeeper at an Atlantic Avenue antiques shop stole thousands of dollars from his boss since May 16.

The 76-year-old victim, who owns Antique Room near Bond Street, told police on June 10 that his former employee forged his signature on numerous checks — embezzling a total of $23,774.

The shopkeeper said that the crook also stole hand-cut crystal bottles from his high-end showroom.
