Cable snitch

A sneaky thief somehow purloined 250 feet of cable from an Atlantic Avenue 2 train station last month.

A 50-year-old MTA employee told cops on Oct. 22 that during a routine inspection at the station near Flatbush Avenue, he noticed that cables used to feed the third rail were removed.

He said the location is not secured and anyone can gain access through the tunnel.

The cables are worth $2,800.
