Glance at the Arizona baseball roster and something quickly stands out: nearly every one of the Wildcats’ 33 players come from four states renowned as baseball hotbeds – Arizona, California, Nevada and Texas. Just one player — Elmwood Park, NJ, freshman left-handed pitcher Jared Forestieri — hails from the Northeast. Comment.

Sure, there were some costly errors. And yes, Bushwick had its fair share of mental lapses. But from where the Tigers have come from, an 11-5 loss to PSAL powerhouse Cardozo in a crossover league game last Friday afternoon was not a bad result at all. Comment.

Many challengers to Exodus NYC’s Rose Classic dominance

The high school girls basketball season might have just ended, but that doesn’t mean the players are hanging up their sneakers. Quite the contrary. Starting Saturday, New York City’s best will be competing in the Nike Rose Classic at JHS 113 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Comment.
