Clipped: Xaverian suffers first defeat of season

Two plays into the battle of undefeated teams in the CHSFL ‘AAA’, Xaverian led on a Laray Smith 33-yard touchdown run. A few minutes later, Zyrel Hardy sacked Fordham Prep quarterback Max Kinder, the ball popping into the hands of Raymond Iannocone, who rumbled for a 67-yard score. Comment.

Last week was a miserable one for Erasmus Hall. The Dutchmen had no legitimate place to practice with their own field under construction and the Parade Grounds, where they were in the preseason, unavailable. They ended up practicing twice in the school’s small courtyard and the end result was a loss to Grand Street Campus. Comment.
