Brooklynite Dan Foster’s colorectal cancer was discovered in the emergency room. He never had the preventive screenings that could have detected and removed pre-cancerous polyps or found his cancer at an early stage, when it was easily treatable.

Fortunately, Foster survived his cancer diagnosis but nearly 50 residents of Southwest Brooklyn
