Broadcaster inspires P.S. 255 students - Art McFarland visits East 17th St. school

Popular Education News personality Art McFarland visited PS 255 for a birthday salute, put on by the students, to famous authors such as Shel Silverstein.

Rhodondo Jeraman, a third grade student portrayed the famous newscaster in a play produced by third grade teacher, Patricia Scire-Napoli and fourth grade teacher, Ana Mandelbaum. The youngster was the emcee for a “show’” that interviewed famous authors.

Every class in the school presents an assembly performance on Fridays. Children are asked to wear special assembly dress and come together to enjoy each other’s talents.

PS 255 is located at 1866 East 17th Street.
