Harris bids fond farewell - Retiring inspector says goodbye to community

The praise flowed freely when Inspector Thomas Harris, the commanding officer of the 70th Precinct, stopped by during Community Board 14’s April meeting to bid adieu to board members.

Harris, who recently announced his retirement, which will take effect on April 28th, praised the officers at the precinct for his success at the precinct’s helm over the past two years.

“I’m just the one lucky enough for the past 27 months to stand up here and almost take credit for their hard work,” Harris told the group gathered at Public School 249, Caton Avenue and Marlborough Road.

Harris, who spent 23 years on the force, also thanked board members
