A distinguished quartet of honorees was hailed for its leadership and service to the community when the Carroll Gardens Association held an awards dinner at Grand Prospect Hall.
The awardees received their plaques of appreciation during the annual program of tribute, chaired by dinner chair Cynthia Gonzalez at the catering facility, 263 Prospect Avenue.
The honorees were: Speaker Christine C. Quinn, New York City Council; Deputy Inspector Michael M. Kemper, 76th Precinct; Donna Mae Depola, president, The Resource CASAC Group Incorporated; and Manuel Ortiz Arroyo, retired executive director, Carroll Gardens Association.
Quinn and Kemper received public service awards, Depola was given a community service award and Arroyo received a community service achievement award.
