Grandma and Grandpa ... this one’s just for you

In recognition of grandparents throughout the community, Millennium Development Senior Services sponsored the Third Annual Grandparents Appreciation Day, held at the John Malone Center, 2303 Bergen Avenue. Active adults and seniors from various centers and their families attended the breakfast/event with their families.

“This event, strengthened the importance of being a grandparent,” said Paul Curiale, executive director of Millennium Development.

Several speakers and guests, including Community Superintendent District 22, Marianne Ferrara, Therese M. Salli, Lotti Dobson, and Raymond Pierre, representatives from District 22, and Barbara Walton, representative from the NYC Department for the Aging, took part in the event.

Grandparents were also treated to many special performances, including dancing, drama, theatre, and choir performed by students from PS 119, PS 195, PS 222, PS 236, and IS 78.
