Youths pitch in for local cleanup

Millennium Development just kicked off a Youth Leadership Summer Program, serving youth ages 11-14, which enables campers to participate in community involvement projects.

The youngsters applied a hefty dose of elbow grease as they helped to rake, clean, and sweep the Bergen Beach fields, located near the John Malone Community Center, 2335 Bergen Avenue.

According to Nicole Kumar, a camp participant, the program will keep her busy throughout the summer season and open her up to a lot of new opportunities.
