BUSINESS BROOKLYN STYLE: Turn heads at D.Monaco Designs - New jewelry studio and boutique offers original pieces found no place else

If you’re looking for something simple yet elegant, or a matching set of necklaces for your bridesmaids, look no further than D.Monaco Designs.

A new boutique in Bay Ridge, the jewelry studio features original designs by Danielle Monaco, a Brooklyn native who lives in the neighborhood.

“This is exactly where I want to be,” said the designer of her new store, located just off of Fifth Avenue on 74th Street.

Her boutique sells earrings, necklaces and bracelets made from sterling silver, semi-precious gemstones, freshwater pearls, glass beads, genuine Austrian Swarovski crystals and vintage beads.

“The designs are simple and elegant,” said Monaco. “They’re simple enough for daytime but you could wear them into the night.”

Monaco also customizes jewelry for bridal parties, Sweet 16s and other special occasions.

In addition to jewelry, the store also sells lip scrubs, body creams, hair perfumes, clothing and purses by L&L Designs. In the coming weeks, Monaco expects to have more clothing, as well as carry a mineral makeup line.

“I tend to try to carry whatever’s in style, whatever’s getting a lot of press,” said the designer.

D.Monaco Designs is located at 508 74th Street. For more information, call 718-833-3243.
