Brooklyn and Queens Congressman Anthony Weiner took staff members from his Queens office to the Key Food parking lot, as part of his “mobile office tour.”
Weiner spent the morning stationed at the supermarket, 6620 Avenue U between East 66th and East 67th streets, to accommodate those unable to visit his three community offices. His constituents were able to discuss with him a wide range of issues and individual concerns.
“No representative can fully do his job unless he stays in close contact with his constituents,” said Weiner. “I am always looking for new ways to engage with my neighbors. Dialogue and debate is the foundation of our democracy.”
