West 10th St. revels in summer fun

The Brooklyn Paper

If there were such a thing as a Block Party Blue Ribbon Committee, they would have given the residents of West 10th Street between Avenue S and Highlawn Avenue top honors for a salute to summer that had everything one would need.

Organizers kept the festive summer feelings alive all day with an inflatable slide and bounce house, pony rides and enough ammunition for the all-important annual neighborhood Silly-String war.

There were also plenty of the basics, from sumptuous barbecue fare and good conversation to a pristine summer day.
