Today’s news:

Auditions for Dancewave’s Kids Company is open to all talented teens, and will take place September 13 and 17, 4:30 p.m. at PS 77, 62 Park Place in Park Slope.

Dancewave’s Kids Company is a pre-professional group of young people 14-18 years. Created in 2000 under the artistic direction of Diane Jacobowitz, Kids Company is a dance troupe of teenagers, selected by audition from all over NYC.

This company provides a professional environment for young people that both challenges and encourages them to excel. The company works with internationally renowned choreographers on groundbreaking work that expands the horizons of both the kids, and the modern dance world, giving young dancers an opportunity to understand and experience a diverse array of styles and artistic viewpoints.

Dancewave programs include Kids Company, Kids Company II, Young Movers Ensemble, Kids Cafe Festival, the School at Dancewave, the Summer Dance Intensive for kids and teens, and D-Wave in Motion (arts-in-education program in the public schools).

The Dancewave Center is at 45 Fourth Avenue in downtown Brooklyn.
