JHS 51 observes anniversary of 9/11

Patriotic students lifted their voices heavenward and sweetly serenaded the heroes during a 9/11 tribute at Junior High School 51.

Youngsters united in song to mark the seventh anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks, transforming the auditorium of the school, 350 5th Avenue, into a mini-Lincoln Center.

The commemoration featured renditions of popular songs, including Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” and “Life Uncommon” by Jewel.
