Today’s news:

I.S. 278 has the best of luck with ‘Sky’

Under the direction of teachers Victoria Turoff and Amy Wilkinson, a cast of nearly 30 students in Marine Park Intermediate School 278’s performing arts department wowed the crowd with singing, dancing and comedy as they performed the classic “Guys and Dolls” in front of two sold−out audiences.

The cast, including Cory Grant as “Sky Masterson,” Jessica Zhelezko as “Sarah Brown,” Aldiana Hot as “Miss Adelaide,” and Nick Walker as “Nathan Detroit,” blew audiences away with their comedic timing, and song and dance skills, a tribute to the hours of rehearsal that they committed to the show, held inside the school’s auditorium, 1925 Stuart Street.
