Two weeks after being shot in the head by a stray bullet at the Spring Creek Little League ballfields near Starrett City – and to uproarious cheers from a packed stadium – indomitable little leaguer and Public School 219 student Davonte Kelly, 11, hurls the first pitch during a Mets‚ąíCardinals game at Citi Field, proving that even a slug can’t keep a good knuckleballer down.
