Today’s news:

Name change honors late administrator

Public School 6 is now also the Norma Adams Clemons Academy.

Students, staff and parents, ceremoniously, co−named the Flatbush school, 43 Snyder Avenue, in memory of the late assistant principal of Public School 92 during a jubilant celebration, which also marked the end of the academic year.

Public School 92 is located at 601 Parkside Avenue.

The pomp−filled program featured the unveiling of a commemorative plaque and a musical tribute to the late educator, whom author Jeffrey Glanz describes in his book, “Bureaucracy and Professionalism: The Evolution of Public School Supervision,” as “displaying the very best qualities that supervisors, in my estimation, can possess.”
