Sweet Georgia Brown plays at P.S. 52

Public School 52 students received a lesson in fancy footwork when the Harlem Globetrotters stopped by to help the big−hearted bunch with a ‘dribble−a−thon’ to raise money for ailing children.

Apollo Fraser and Buckets Blake from the world−renowned exhibition basketball team enthralled a rapt audience with their awe−inspiring moves and boosting tips during the fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in the gymnasium of the school, 2675 East 29th Street.

The visit was part of the Globetrotters’ CHEER for Character educational program, which extols the benefits of character development and leading a healthy, active lifestyle to students in city schools.

I WAS THERE! I was in 4th grade and they came to the school it was cool :) They did the teachers vs. them :) somehow the teachers won. It was a great experience and now even in 7th grade I haven't forgotten it.
