A downpour didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of reveling Flatbush residents, who soaked in equal parts of spirit and community camaraderie during a block party along Newkirk Avenue.
Mom, dad and the kids rose above the rain, teaming up with neighbors to celebrate the first days of summer with games and potluck barbecues between East 16th and East 17th streets.
