Today’s news:

Back to School Fair in session

Some lucky Brooklynchildren were treated to a Back to School Fair at the Excel Learning Center, part of the HCS Bensonhurst Center, 7907 New Utrecht Avenue, created to meet the needs of Southern Brooklyn growing Asian community.

Along with State Senator Marty Golden, Health Plus staff was ready for the youngsters with an assortment of treats: flavored ice, toys, snacks, and, of course, the supplies they needed to be ready for another great school year.

“There is nothing more important than a good education,” said Tom Early, executive director of Health Plus. “At Health Plus, we believe it is part of a healthy lifestyle. So if we can give these kids the tools they need to be successful, then we’re more than happy to do so.”
