The head of the FBI, Director Robert Mueller, has decided to investigate whether or not his agency bungled and underestimated the whole matter of Maj. Nidal Malik Hassan, the psychiatrist who murdered innocent service members in Fort Hood Texas. Big of him, isn’t it?
Does he really have to question this?? They not only bungled it, they mauled it. How did this nut case, and I use this term freely, have access to weapons and how was he able to go into the center and calmly execute these 13 individuals like a shooting duck gallery? What no MP’s on duty that day?
How many times have I said it -- if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck - THEN IT MUST BE A DUCK. The man was corresponding with a militant terrorist who had known ties with Al Queda. You know, that little group of 9/11 fame? What could have possibly been Hassan’s objective? Did these bozos in Washington really think that he was trying to convert the radical cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki, or was he just passing the time of day? “Oh how’s the family, is all well in Yemen and how goes the terror training - fine, eh?” According to reports, agents looked at his military records, but the FBI said his contact with the cleric was “consistent with research” he was doing as a psychiatrist. What research? Suicide bombing 101?
It’s times like this that I really would like tofind the sap responsible - come face to face with him and shake him to see what exactly is in his head besides empty space.
If anyone has an answer I would appreciate you letting me know, because for the life of me I can’t seem to figure out why even after the military was made aware of Hassan’s activities they didn’t sack him and why for Pete’s sake did they promote him no less??My next question iswhy is the genius that decided that these activities were harmless still have a job.
Wake up, people, this is a war. As far as I know, it’s not nice to consort with the enemy. In fact, I think it even has a name. It’s called TREASON.
Not for nuthin, but if the military, the FBI or the CIA ever tells meit’s safe to go into the water, I’m heading for the highest, driest land I can find. JDelBuono@cnglocal.com.
