Today’s news:

MetroTech all lit up for the holidays

MetroTech ushered in the holiday with its annual tree lighting.

The Brooklyn Youth Chorus, the Brooklyn Friends School sixth grade chorus, and Joey Morant and Catfish Stew serenaded the crowd with holiday music at the lighting, and Santa also paid a visit.

The ceremony was held in Downtown Brooklyn on MetroTech Commons, at Myrtle Promenade and Lawrence Street, and sponsored by host Bruce Ratner, CEO of Forest CityRatner Companies, as well as Commons Associates, with a special thanks to Chelsea Gardens and SIAC.
