One injured in two car crack-up

A man was rushed to the hospital Thursday following a two-car smash-up that left him trapped inside his auto for a brief time.

Officials said that the victim’s car and another auto impacted at the corner of East 33rd Street and Avenue S on the evening of November 20.

Responding firefighters and members of the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps worked together in extricate the man.

Officials said that his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

It was unclear who caused the accident as this paper went to press.
