Santa Claus gives reindeer the day off

Santa traded his sleigh for a rickshaw and will be greating, waving and riding down Flatbush Avenue from Bergen St. to Plaza Street, in the Park Slope/Prospect Heights section, on December 12from 2 to 5pm,.

Santa knows this is the best way to cut out the busy holiday flight traffic so that he can make sure children receive their holiday gifts on time. He’ll be making special stops along his route along Flatbush Avenueso the children can have the opportunity to take a photo with him, and let him know exactly what’s on their Christmas wish list.

To continue the holiday spirit,Bert the famous children’s Face Painter, will be decorating children’s faces inside Healthy Nibbles Organic Lounge located at 305 Flatbush Avenue.Healthy Nibbles has a special healthy $5.00 lunch special for all those hungry holiday tots too.

The BID will also be handing out magic colorful paper dreidels in honor of Hanukkah.

The North Flatbush Avenue Business Improvement Districtis also sponsoring a Blood Drive and teaming up with Kings Pharmacy and the New York Blood Center.The Busmobile will be located in front of Kings Pharmacy at 357 Flatbush Avenue.There will be free Tote Bags filled with goodies for those who donate.from 2-7:30pm

The BIDs participating merchants along Flatbush Avenue will be providing special discount offers and give a ways to all holiday shoppers.This event is free and open to all.
