Children struck on Marcy Avenue

Two children were rushed to the hospital following a harrowing Friday afternoon motor vehicle accident on Marcy Avenue.

Police said that the car struck both children, ages 6 and 12, as it veered out of control.

The car, a Mercedes Benz with out of state plates, finally stopped when it smashed into a tree, officials said.

Both children were rushed to Woodhul Hospital for treatment.

It was unclear if the driver was facing charges as this paper went to press.
