Today’s news:

You don’t need to travel to exotic places or even cross the bridge into that other borough to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Park Slope BID knows how you can show the one you love how much you really love them.

Find your heart and more on 5th Avenue in Park Slope in an all-week event beginning February 9 and ending February 14. The shops from Dean Street to 18th Street will help you celebrate the week of love.

The many bars and restaurants offer you a romantic place for longing gazes and soft whispers. If you’re not the gaze and whisper sort you can always visit the many other participating shops along the way and perhaps pick up a shiny bauble or two at the jewelers, flowers for that special someone or a chocolate morsel to lavish your honey with.

With vendors catering to your every whim, clothing, sexy lingerie, spas and too many more to mention, Fifth Avenue in Park Slope is your main stop for Valentine’s Week. Dozens of participating merchants will be offering discounts, promotions, and prix fix dinners. For additional information or a list of participating merchants, e-mail Irene Lo Re at www.ParkSlope5AvBID@aol.com.

Come on down and join the romance.
