Domo arigato Prof. Roboto

Brooklyn Daily

Brooklyn’s brightest mechanical minds inched the world one step closer to its inevitable robot takeover last Saturday when they put their high-tech, creations to the test at the first ever Robotics Tournament of Champions at City Tech’s Mechatronics Technology Center.

Computer, mechanical, and electrical engineers tapped into their inner Will Robinson and assembled mini-robots with micro-controllers capable of accomplishing simple tasks.

The winning team, which included professor Ali Harb and his students, Dexter Patrick, Denis Fadeyev, and Raymond Yap, built a motorized mechanical monster named “Fast Track” that efficiently drove on a straight line.

This year, straight lines; next year, world domination.
