Barbra at Barclays? Streisand planning show at arena, ticket sellers say

Brooklyn Daily

Is Babs coming back to Brooklyn?

Eight-time Grammy award-winning superstar and Brooklyn legend Barbra Streisand will play a heartfelt concert at Barclays Center this fall, ticket reps for the arena say.

The legendary “Funny Girl” — who grew up in Williamsburg and East Flatbush — will grace the stage a few weeks after the arena’s opening date on Sept. 28, ticket agents say.

Handlers for the showbiz goddess wouldn’t confirm she’s on her way — or give a specific booking date — but Councilwoman Letitia James (D–Fort Greene) noted the star is coming.

“Barbra Streisand has a couple of days [at the arena],” the pol said at a recent meeting, according to the blog Atlantic Yards Report.

Brooklyn’s Babs boosters were happy to hear the Streisand-related news just weeks after her half-sister Roslyn Kind — an accomplished singer and Brooklyn native in her own right — played in Flatbush.
