T-shirt take

A 24-year-old woman was arrested for swiping T-shirts from an Avenue U store on June 26.

An employee told police that he was inside the store between E. 52nd Street and E. 53rd Place at 6:55 pm when he noticed the suspect shoving Nike shirts into a bag. The suspect was soon apprehended, but the shirts were not recovered because the suspect passed them along to an accomplice who managed to flee, police said.

Drink and drive

Police arrested a 33-year-old man who they say was driving drunk on Shore Parkway on June 24.

The arresting officer was near Flatbush Avenue at 4:50 am when he noticed the suspect traveling on the entrance ramp to the west-bound Belt Parkway.

When the suspect suddenly swerved into the right lane heading south on Flatbush, the officer pulled the man over and issued a breathalyzer test, which showed his blood alcohol content as .109 percent, cops said.
