Brutal mugging

A thug assaulted and robbed a woman on Third Avenue on Feb. 24.

The victim told cops that she was near 75th Street at 2:40 am when the brute punched her in the face and then stomped on her chest after she’d fallen to the pavement. The thug then snatched up the woman’s black handbag, which contained $60 and credit cards.

Dine and dash

A thief robbed a diner on Fifth Avenue on Feb. 21.

Police say the crook broke into the eatery between 85th and 86th streets at 5:30 pm by prying open the back door, and grabbed $50 from the register.

Cards swiped

A crook stole some credit cards left in a man’s car on 79th Street on Feb. 23.

The victim told police that he parked his car between Seventh and 10th avenues at 2 pm, and when he returned later that day, he discovered that the cards were gone.

An earful

Two gun-wielding thugs robbed a man on Ovington Avenue on Feb. 25.

The victim told police that he was opening the front door to his house between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 1:12 am when the thugs appeared, placed the gun behind his head, and demanded the book bag he was wearing. He resisted and one of gunmen dragged him to the ground.

“Shoot him,” one of the evildoers barked. The other thug then shot off a round near the victim’s ear, barely missing him. The victim said he gave up the bag, which contained $15,000.

Prying and entering

A crook robbed a woman’s home on 84th Street on Feb. 23.

The resident of the home between 12th and 13th avenues told cops that the thief pried open the rear door at 9:30 am, taking property that she did not name.
